GOCEK - In our opinion, the nicest place for a sailing holiday in Turkey ! . ....20 minute drive from Dalaman airport, situated in corner of a well protected bay, within the GULF OF FETHIYE, with its pine covered hills on the three sides, part oof the towering Lycian coast. Within the gulf is SKOPEA LIMANI, 7 nm SW of Göcek and 11nm west of Fethiye. It is bordered on the west side by the Kapidagi peninsula and on the east by the islands of Domuz and Tersane. It is one of the most beautiful cruising areas in Turkey, with numerous sheltered coves ringed with pines, in several of which restaurants have been established, with mooring jetties and laid moorings. The whole area is hugely popular with private yachts and gulets operating out of Göcek and Fethiye
There are so many beatiful anchorages that one can easily spend a relaxing week just hopping from one to another, without the need to venture further afield.Those that do will be richly rewarded with more excellent sailing, spectacular scenery, ancient ruins, traditional villages & more stunning anchorages. .
The prevailing wind is North-Westerly but tends to blow up the Gulfs of Gokova and Datca from the West. Usually it picks up at late morning to force four or five by the the afternoon. In the evening it drops to give a calm night. There is good exhilarating sailing throughout the season, although July and August are the months of the stronger winds.

Our yachts are based in the new Gocek Villlage Marina in Gocek with all modern facilities,including toilets, shower, water and ice, Resturant/Bar & Supermarket. Well stocked food and other shops are a very pleasant 5-10 minute stroll along the coastal path in Gocek village and shopkeepers willingly deliver provisions to your yacht free of charge.
